Kat Freya is a multidisciplinary artist, dancer, writer, and embodiment facilitator.

After sixteen years of training as a ballet dancer, she dyed her hair purple and moved to Paris, where she lived for five years. During her time in Paris, she worked as an au pair, studied at Parsons Paris | The New School, graduated summa cum laude, and particpated in several exhibitions and performances, including a solo exhibition on the intersection of purity culture and pop culture.

Since returning to her native Portland in 2022, Kat co-founded Peace Tree Collective along with Maile Crowder and Alicia Ralls, an artist-run organization centered on healing from grief through community and creativity.
